Hello,

I am getting ready to send in my forms and I have a few questions.
For the 5 year presence requirement, I have bank / credit card statements from 2008 - present. The document for 2007 I have is an issuance letter from the IRS for my ITIN number. Should I send this with my application and is it enough to satisfy my presence for 2007?

Thanks.

I would not recommend sending a package without more proof for 2007. The ITIN letter is not proof of presence because many parents get ITIN numbers for their kids that are out of the country. Further, it is critical that you prove that you were here since before June of 2007. You can try to close the gaps with affidavits for the time since you finished high school, but I honestly recommend more evidence before you mail.

I was able to find receipts / prescriptions from my eye doctor for 2007 and old medical card from 2007. I have solid proof for years before and after 2007 (bank statements, vehicle titles, high school transcript, college certificate.). I'm just worried about 2007. I also have an old Michigan drivers license that expired in 2010 which was valid for 4 years, I'm not sure if I should send a copy of that as well?
