I, on the other hand I am not, so if they ask me to open my trunk, I am pulling down my trousers too and bending over.

State ID alone wont do it, theyll ask you if you are a us citizen, you will say no, they will ask to see gc/visa/ead the original. Take it with you if you know your going throu a bp checkpoint

Doesn't matter if you are a USC or not, if you are able to identify yourself and show that you are legally allowed to be here in the U.S. (Which you can do with your Drivers license or ID or EAD) they have no right to do anything else.

Not if you were to lie to them and tell them you are a USC. The only proof a USC has that he is a citizen is his DL or ID.

What else does a USC carry with him? His Birth Certificate? No, his passport? No, his social security card? No.

Your best bet would be the truth, claiming USC status and they still want to see your ID(at this point you could be ok) but what if the officer decides to run your name? you will appear as a non citizen.

idk it's at everyone discretion, thankfully we don't get these check points in florida.
