The guy at the ssa told me that they have to put your name exactly as it appears on your ead.

Is this 10 business days (Monday-Friday; 5 days a week), or 10 calendar days (7 days a week)?

For example, if the approval date is 9/20/12, then is Day 11 on 10/01/12 or 10/05/12?

will the process get faster after some time. I ask because my girlfriend had tps, and she got her social in 10 days.

Hmmmm. I highly doubt it. They will tell you that there's a 10 day wait period before processing. Then the usual 2-3 week period. You can try to get a print out with your social after the 10 days maybe. But the actual card will arrive later on.

Hi everyone. I would just like to update you all on the status of my ssn app. I applied for ssn last week (9/24) and i called today to do a follow up on the status and they informed me that they just got the approval from DHS this morning so i can come in to get a print out tom. Im excited to come in but i will be busy tomorrow so I will go to the SSO on Wednesday and go straight to the DMV..I will update you all on Wednesday to let you all know how that went.

bastards told me the same thing last Thursday and I am sitting here SSNless.
