Your can use your matricula that's what I used!!

why would u apply knowing you did not have an ID ? you knew you were going to needed u should have waited! Also you can use you passport

Does anyone know when you go in for biometrics, do they just check your id...our do they make a copy for their records? I have an appointment in sacramento in october, and also can I do an early walk in?

ok here's my case guys.....

male 29 Korean

came to US 93 - 10yrs old

Passport expired decade ago- got a pic of me when i was 5yrs old

biometrics appt- oct 9th NYC LIC center

walked in because I did not want to get denied on the day of the sceduled appt and be
left in the dust.......

WALK IN DATE - SEPT 28 th 2012

step by step -

1- Entered the building 2 officers just doing body check and search

- smooth asail

2- Reception desk

- Tells you to go to the room for biometrics

3- 2 clerks at the Desk checking our papers and ID's

-at this point i was so very nervous cuz of my passport being expired decades ago

4- First they give you a sheet to fill out and went back for the ticket

- ok he looks at my passport looks at me and then glances and then give me a stamp and
the ticket for me to take my biometrics.

5- This was my personal exp and individual results may vary.

They check your ID to see if it is fraudulent or real and if the ID if real matches who you say you are.They don't make copies.
