The 10 day wait is just a bs excuse. Go as soon as you get your card.

when we go apply, do we need to bring birth certificate if you have valid passport?

As long as your passport is valid. You don't need bc.

I applied for my SSN 9/24 and got a printout yesterday 10/02. Also goy my temporary DL yesterday while i wait for the actual DL in the mail.

Did you go and apply for your DL while your SSN was still pending?

So.... need to wait 10 days or not?? Seems like if not it gets in on same time?

I didn't wait. I went ASAP and based on the info the guy has above. he went the same day he got his EAD to apply for a SSN and he got his 9 days after he applied

No. I went to the DMV soon after I get my SSN printout. I was only require to take the written because I wasnt applying for a DL for the first time. My DL app is a renewal so after i paid the $31, they had me take the written test . Aftet i took and past tge written test, they issued me a temporary license while i wait for the original DL in the mail.

Oh, alright. I was like damn how did he do it that fast. Well cool you're basically set to live a normal life. :P
