I am curious, if you have a legit SSN, why can't you get a job now? You probably already have a DL as well, based on your SSN, right?

So I subtracted 2 from my SRC # and the person's EAD was accepted. Wonder if I'm next? Lol do they even go in order

Also, why didn't you do a walk in? Why did you wait? You could have been approved by now--based upon others experiences here who did walk-ins. But, I guess now it doesn't really make much of a difference. What's done is done.

I waited because of circumstances and also I didn't want to mess up, since it's a new process.

That makes sense, thanks for answering it! You couldn't renew the work permit before it expired, or find another similar job? Or adjust to a new status or something? I realize everyone's situation is different of course, and some things that work for some, cannot work for others.

I sent mine on aug 22nd and I waited till my scheduled 9/28 bio date. I had all the free time in the world to do a walkin but i decided to just wait. I have no regrets of not doing a walkin since I've been waiting this long for change so a few more weeks of waiting wont kill me. Just thankful for the opportunity.

Same here sent my application August 27. Did my biometrics Sept. 26 waited for my appointment. I have been waited 18 years I'm 19 so a couple more weeks of wait is no problem. Really in order to pass time I hardly check the USCIS site and this site as well, continue living my life like I was before. By the end of this month we all should be approved.
