So for those who have gotten approved and currently have jobs, are you quitting them to get new ones with your new EAD?

What about for those who have applied and still have not been approved but currently have jobs? Are you quitting them after your EAD is approved?

Just curious...

I already told my boss I am quitting after October. I have been working at a tailor shop for 2.5 years now and can't stand it. I will be getting my EAD this Tuesday and then applying for ssn which will take around late October to arrive. I plan on looking for a job at a bank or getting an internship.

Haha, fuck that where I have been working is an on and off job and I get paid at 6 hrs an hour because of my status I'd rather be out of work and have my EAD then having to work there any longer.

Yeah for some quitting is easier than for others. I happen to actually like my job, but I rather work at McDonald's w an EAD than somewhere else w/o one. (Nothing against McDonald's btw, great recession-proof job).

It will be hard for me to quit too. I like my job and the people. But the pay sucks.

I am fortunate enough to have a job related to my field of study, engineering. The CEO made an arrangement of ' you scratch my back, i scratch yours'. I get a job in my field and he gets to pay me a fraction of what the market value of my skill set is.

If i get my EAD i will ask for a proper salary or just leave and get it elsewhere.

Ive never had a real/legal job. I mostly do hair. After I get my EAD, I wont be doing hair any more unless for family and close friends.

I like my job and my pay and I don't want to quit. So the only thing I can think of is continue doing what I'm doing and if I ever get questioned on my ss# just be like. Dang! U guys have the wrong one. Then ill bust out my real ss and EAD

Also. Since I work thru an agency. I like the company I work for so ill try applying for a position thru the company and get pd double what I make
