i like my job and the pay isnt bad at all...but the only problem is taht there is no room to grow... my bosses (owners) are the best ones you could ask for... but im gonna have leave if i wanna grow and have a good resume... its gonna be sad

I may do the same if I get the EAD and SSN/DL. Or maybe transition into a full-time employee w/ benefits...if they still want me there, that is. I don't know, lots of uncertainty right now...

Tbh, I'm not really too happy where I am. A lot of stress for comparatively low compensation. Other developers usually make 4 times what I make per hour. And no benefits. It was offered but I knew that would require SSN...

I'm still grateful, though. I was in a deep hole of shit this time last year. I still am, but it's not as deep as it was last year :P.

The job market isn't as bad as some people make it out to be, but it's not great either. No one should expose themselves until you have a backup or something already lined up, and then try to make the transition as smooth as you can.

Changing line of work is tricky regardless of immigration status, so I hope no one pulls the trigger too early and end up in a pile.

Good question! I work as a waitress and could not hate it any more. Still, I'll probably wait til I have everything (if I get it) and a secure job before I quit. Even then, I'll probably give a two weeks notice. Since I just sent my application last week I expect to be working there for a good while...Oh joy! :/

True, I am greatful too. I do whatever I want there, They buy me anything I want and I have 0 stress. Also, I get respect from all the workers since they think I am smart since I am an engineer lol

I have learned alot too. If I am lucky and get ead i will ask for more pay if not it is time tl leave

It is true. Remember I was sent to the TX service center where there is one approval per week lol. How is your job hunt going?

A close friend of mines employed me a few months ago, It's really great that I could set my hours around school (which is what I really want to start doing again).
