10 day wait after DACA before SSN - Page 31

I previously had an okay job, paid almost double the min wage, but this job is double the previous one, entry level.. So yeah.

In person. I was driving someone to SSA, I decided to give it a go and check status in person.

How l;ong after you applied for it did your ss card come int he mail?
UPDATE! also, I didnt wait the ten days that I heard people talk about, I only waited 7 days and the lady said \that everythign checked out through immigration and I should recieve my ss card in the mail.

7 days after you got the card, or 7 days after it was issued?

Regarding Social Security heres a link http://www.ssa.gov/pubs/deferred_action.pdf nowhere it says you have to wait 10 days!
I got my EAD in the mail today, and immediately went to SS office, waited in line forever, filled out form and showed em my EAD card, Passport and my old college ID.
Got a receipt saying it will take 7-14 days to get it in the mail.
Nowhere on the PDF for DACA does it say a waiting time. Just says you need ur EAD and proof of iD.
Just go, fill out the ss form and dont take bull from anyone. We dont need to hide anymore.

RM 10213.305 Procedure when an SSN Applicant Files for an SSN within 10 Days of Arriving in the U.S or being Granted a New Status

Some aliens apply for Social Security numbers (SSNs) within days of arriving in the U.S. or immediately after a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) change in status. In some cases, SAVE reflects their latest information but generally it takes about 7 to 10 days before SAVE has the information available.
Follow this procedure when you cannot complete the SSN application because both the Initial Verification (IV) response does not allow for processing and in the last 10 calendar days either:
The alien arrived in the U.S. or
DHS granted the applicant a new status. For information on alien status changes, see RM 10211.510.
EXAMPLE: On January 6, 2011, John Doe, applied at his local office for an SSN. His I-94 showed he entered the U.S. on January 3, 2011. The office initiated his SSNAP application; however, the IV did not verify his status. The office should hold his application until January 13 (10 calendar days after he entered the U.S.) then submit a new IV request via SSNAP.

Like Mr Dick posted below.. There is a PROCEDURE.. We don't make this stuff up.

Oh well I already got my receipt, I'll check friday for a Verification Printout , like the rep told me. Will definately update you guys.
