Deportation proceeding clase closed then applied DACA

anybody else out here under deportation proceeding and its already been closed then applied for DACA?

My lawyer sent my DACA app last month and they responded with a letter just last week... saying that they're going to reopen my case... and apparently i have an upcoming "interview" on november.... looks like.... IF i ever do get approved for DACA.. i wont get my EAD card till next year... saddd...

anybody else on the same boat as i am?

My lawyer told me not to apply till they close my case, but I did it anyway...last week, ice closed my case and then 2 days later uscis approved my ead and daca...

What's the reason your in removal proceedings.
I have also been in removal proceedings, wishes this doesn't happen to me.

Overstayed visa, then applied for green card through diversity visa lottery, got denied and then one year later, got letter for removal proceedings

my case have been closed... thats why they;re reopening it... i have no idea why... how come urs sounds so easy... lol

why are they reopening it? if it's administratively closed then you should only apply for EAD...mine wasn't closed so I applied for both...and trust me..it wasn't easy at all.....

I really dont kno... And d interview part... I dunno wats going on....

I am not saying u do, but most of the time the only reason they wanna reopen ur case is either u have some new ways of getting permanent status in the US or if they have something negative on you, and they want to continue the removal proceedings..can u check ur status by calling the 1-800 number and put in your alien number?
