You can only get financial aid from the state and that's if you qualify.

If you graduated from a Texas highschool, and if you are low income you can easily get 12000 to 15000 a year in grants and scholarships. All you would need is decent grades

In graphic design. I want to change careers to education. My gpa is above 3.0 for sure. I'm interested and would like your advice on grants or whatever scholarships are out there . For hcc I paid straight out of my pocket no assistants

Most students in our situation are eligible for the two following grants/scholarships with most getting it: Texas Grant (5-6k per year) and Regents Scholarship (5k per year to 1st generation college students with families making less than 40k a year). There is also various others scholarship you would be eligible for than are only given for a year or two. I would recommend to call their financial aid office, believe me they are really helpful with situations.
