It says on your timeline EAD for the 11TH? So they mailed it out yesterday, like you said in the other thread... I called today and the girl didn't give me info for tracking just regurgitated what was on the screen, the same thing that says on my account online...
My card was mailed today.

And good luck with the DMV... They do ask proof of residency in CA sometimes...
No I didnt get a tracking number. Its weird because it says it was mailed yesterday and the government was closed. Maybe they sent it on Friday or today.

I have the same question. Do you have to take something with your name and Cali address or can you take a relative's.

I have another DL question. Can you take the driving test on the same day as your written exam in CA?

this Fenix guy answered my question in another thread. He got his permit with just his EAD card and SS# he didnt need a bill in his name. Hopefully we won't need a utility bill either. >>>http://dreamact.info/forum/showthrea...780#post334780

I was wondering the same thing. I pulled up the CA MVD website and they will let you schedule your appointment online, however they will not make your appointment or show you available dates and times unless you already have a DL # / Permit #. So I'm not really sure. I don't know if since its your first time applying for a driver's license you need to have your permit for a specific time, which I don't think so. I'm thinking if there's availability for that date then they can take you in for your behind the wheel. I'm planning to call tomorrow and ask.

I don't know, but I think it's possible. I think someone did it the same day.

When I went this dude said he was there to do the permit test and the road test. The lady at the counter said, "no your not. You are here to take your permit test". When I went for my permit test, I also asked if I could do my road test. They said no. That the appt system was online. I live in the Bay Area, so DMV's are always crowded. Maybe at other DMV's is different.
