Official transcripts to be open or not?

Should we open the official transcripts?

it should say that it wouldnt be official once you open the seal... i dont read until i opened it already... so i hav to get another one...

When I requested my school transcript, the gave me one closed letter with the seal "not official if open" and another same one opened. So I gave my lawyer the official closed one and he was the one who opened it and told me he was allowed to do it.

I opened them and got approved a long time ago. Good luck!

Ummm make sense! My brother is still in high scho and I order his attendance record for his 11th grade he's is now in 12th grade to show proof he was here on June 15 2012 because his transcript don't show the last of of school howEver he has very bad attendance record 11 unexcused absence! He was late all the time! Suspended 7 times! Detained 3 times in school! and he was present 140 days out of 151!! Do u guys think I should include this or the transcripts should suffice the requirement?

My personal advice is to open it.
I sent my college transcripts sealed and I think they either lost it or overlooked it. Because I received a Request for More Evidence for the time period that my college transcripts would have covered.
so now, I sent my evidence back and this time I opened the envelope.




ps. oh and the first time i sent my high school transcripts opened and my college transcripts sealed. they aknowleged that they received the high school transcripts, but not the college transcripts

I would open it because you don't know what is in there. I've actually only heard or known that the only sealed documents to send to immigration are the medical tests when your in a process of status adjustments. For school transcripts I know it's just for universities or college.

Open them..make copies..and send the copies. It clearly says in the instructions to send only copies.

IF you're doing it yourself. Open it.

It doesn't matter for USCIS if it's official or unofficial.
