^^ Absolutely accurate statement. To further clarify, I got the following excerpt from the official CT Drivers Manual:

Holders of a B1 or B2 Visitorʼs Visa are not eligible for a driverʼs license or identification card unless a valid Employment Authorization Card (EAC) and verification of an application pending for Lawful Permanent Residence is provided.
• Foreign students with an F1 Visa status must show U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS)
document I-20.
• Exchange visitors with a J1 Visa status are required to show USCIS document DS2019.
• H1B Visa holders are required to show a valid USCIS Employment Authorization Card and an employee verification letter from a Connecticut employer or an employer from a state that borders Connecticut.
• All applicants will be verified through USCIS for legal status before a driverʼs license will be issued and may berequired to show additional documents to verify legal presence.

Oh finally found something like that. went to Biometrics on 9/26/2012 still waiting for approval and EDA but had EDA before and have ss card so I won't have to wait. Given the fact that I go to school in NYC I won't be able to get license until December but will get a State ID licence at least and have some kind of ID.... until than

Hey everyone, I am from Connecticut too. My lawyer who did my DACA papers works with the DMV to solve issues like these. She told me that CT WILL issue drivers license to dreamers. Because they already issue drivers license to deferred action applicants. Just my 2 cents! She also said they might not know what this process is when you present it to them but they will eventually give you a license.

Hello Everyone, I am from Hartford, CT. Has anyone gotten to go to DMV yet. I don't know how many people have gotten yet but I already received my EAD and went to get my ssn. The SSN office said it would take two weeks to get the SSN. After that, I will go to the DMV. Will keep posted.

Getting my SSN# is taking longer than the forthcoming of Jesus. I went and applied the 17th and just, finally!!, got a letter in the mail today telling me they had confirmed my documents, and that i should expect my ssn# within 2 weeks; It literally took longer then daca lol.

I know this has been discussed here before, and I am also new here, but does anyone have any new information on obtaining a driver's license in CT under the DACA?
