Yeah I can't just use my number, It has to be the actual card =/ Does the Cali DMV website say the same as above? If so then I will try just using the number since you guys would be doing the same even though you guys didn't get the card yet.

I didnt need to do road test. Just written because I only did DL renewal.

yes except it doesnt have the upper UV photo. Just the bottom one.

Oopps! Just saw the note that states that its only visible under UV Light. Lol. No wonder i cant see it. lol

In Cali , at the DMV we just input the number on the app for the dl.

Thank you for your feed back yes called the DMV today in Illinois they said come in and bring ead ss and proof of residence and get DL ID that day now I need to get approved hopefully soon at this rate with Texas service center never good luck with everything

cali ftw ,
seems that ssn is generated within 2 weeks from initial application. (get our print out atleast)
At least from what ive seen, going thru and reading stuff.
Of course like NotAPro has said, if you have luck about dhs inputing your info right away then your set, if not, it can take up to 4 weeks :/
anyway got my permit today, missed 2 , next is driving test but i've yet decided how im gonna do this, as getting a driver is gonna be tough as my parents dont have a d.l :/
for the rest, just be patient and call the ssa office to get your print out

Some driving school rents out cars with insurance included. They pick you up and drop you off. Also they wait with you at the DMV while you take the driving test. Look into that
