I went to the SSA ( in downtown Phoenix) to get my ssn print out. The guy at the window tells me to give him a second, so that he can go ask the manager. He returns and tells me no, that they couldn't give me a print out. I almost screamed out loud. I calmed down and looked for the other SSA in the area. I headed that way with hope. I get there and it was completely empty, compared to the other office. I asked her if I could get like a reference number or something. She looked it up and told me that it had already been issued yesterday. Then she asked, "Would you like a print out?" I was like "YES!!! MAM." lol that was my story for today.

I dont know if this has been asked before, but do our ssn differ from regular citizen's ssn? Mine begins with a 6, and from most of the citizens that i know, theirs begin with a 1.

^they changed the rules for issuing new numbers recently, so unless your significant other got his number in the last few years, it will be different.

You could compare your number to a baby's and it would be a better comparison.
