If they can fax it to him that means that it doesnt matter if I walk in with a scanned copy of my letter right?

@Dreamer786

Did my walk-in as well on the 14th (friday), in Atlanta, Colliers rd. Official appointment was on the 19th. Arrived around 11am and it was crowded, perhaps because it was Friday.

I would say that since Op did his walk-in, they might have gotten stricter. In fact, the only reason I was able to do it, as the guard explained, was because my brother had an appointment on that day and I accompanied him; hence he gave me a family dispensation of sorts, saying it was “my lucky day” and let me in.

From my observation, at the above mentioned location at least (I can't obviously speak for the other locations in GA if there are any) there are two guards there, one Black and the other East Asian or Hispanic (couldn’t really discern) who alternate on admittance duty. You want the Brown Man (as opposed to the black) who I found was generally more conversational and permissive, and seems more likely to admit one outside of appointed date. However, he told me in conversation that he rejected another couple who tried to do a walk-in earlier that morning and who had an appointment on Oct 1st.

On the whole and in the main, you might not be able to do in the location, but then, it might partly be contingent on traffic or how busy they are that day and time, the mood of the guard, etc. Or maybe come with a convincing reason. But if you must, try your walk-in on a week day after 2pm, when it –*might* – be less busy and they might therefore admit you inside for walk-in. That location seems busy in the mornings.

Anyway, good luck. Let us know how it goes so others in GA might know what to expect.

Uh... hopefully it's just this ASC and not other ASCs that are becoming stricter against walk ins. I'm going to be mighty pissed if I can't do a walk in because of all the impatient people who couldn't wait till their appointment date without valid reason. I need to do a walk in cus I live hours and hours away from my original ASC and want to attempt a walk in this Friday at the ASC that's more near to where I'm living now.

Get there when they open at 8 and you will be fine. If they mention your appointment date have a reason to be there earlier prepared. I know this works 100% because a couple behind me told the guard they had to work next week which is why they were there early and the guard said it would be fine; it was even the black guard, who is the mean one.

I will also say this: "I WENT A WEEK BEFORE MY APPOINTMENT"

Maybe if your appointment is too far into the future they give issues.

Trust me, regardless of when your appointment, make sure you get there at 8 am when they open. (they are less busy when they open)

The person who's driving me said he can only do it after 2 so can't get there early ):
I was just going to tell them that I'd have to ride the bus for 8hours (back and forth) and miss two days of class.

The fact that your appointment is what? A week away? I am confident you will be fine.

Get a ride from your friend and let me know how it turned out. It might be less busy after 2. NotaPro did his walk-in after 2 and was fine.

Lol my bad for scaring ya, my intent was to show that the worst case scenario isn't going to jail or having your application auto denied.

The worse case scenario is either you forgot needed ID or they are too busy. Either way you will be ok.

I did my walk in on the 10th of October in Portland, OR but I was scared they were going to denied me because someone on here said they were denied by the guard, so I go in 16 days before my bio appointment and the guard did tell me they did not allow to do walk ins and I asked him if he could ask if I could do it early and he asked and they said yes. It took less than 5 mins because there was only one person there, even my dad who was waiting in the car thought that they denied me because it was so fast.
