My EAD was lost/stolen by the USPS - Page 5

Ok so I might be in this situation... But I'm crossing my fingers.... EAD got mailed out on the 9th. As you may know USCIS mails it priority mail which is 2 days. The tracking says it was in Los Angeles sort facility yesterday at 3am and it said it departed yesterday the 11th. Well it didn't arrive yesterday. So I checked today and guess what it was processed again today the 12th at 4am in the same sort facility. So it didn't go out.... Mind you, I live in another city close to LA. So when it goes out from the sort facility it goes to my postal office then goes our for delivery...

I called USPS and the woman said "I show it went out on 5:55am on Oct 11".
Then I said " Really? Because it shows me it Departed, but today it is still there and being processed. "
USPS woman: "Let me look at my other system... Hmmm.... It might be a miss scan. But today is the third today and priority mail is 2-3 days. If it doesn't arrive by Monday give us a call back and we will launch an investigation."

I had a package lost once by USPS and I launched an investigation and everything... USPS doesn't really do anything just updates you once in a while. But my package was sent after 1 month... and guess what USPS didn't know I had to call and said it got delivered.

Hopefully MY EAD doesn't get lost. But right now it's still not in my post office and NOT out for delivery.

This also happened to me but it happened with my greencard, USCIS stated it was delivered but I did not see it in my mailbox, lol turns out my landlord who is also my neighbor took my mail by accident, I wanted to choke him!

I didn't think I'll ever be writing in this thread... but it seems like the same thing is happening to me!

I got a text last night saying that my EAD card was delivered Oct 11. It wasn't. My mailing address is at work, which keeps its doors open at all times and has a bell that goes off everytime someone comes in. So I couldn't have missed anyone. I even saw the mailman yesterday, didn't have anything. Still nothing today. What's going on

I called the USCIS and they gave me an email... I asked if I could also stay on the line to wait for a rep to give me a tracking number. She says no, she can only give me one of the three options. But I didn't hear that part in the beginning because I didn't understand what she was saying in the beginning... Should I just call again and hope a different agent picks up?


[EDIT] I did call again and asked for the tracking number. Looks like they've sent it to my home address instead of my mailing address. I have other families living at the same home address, which is why I put the work address as mailing in the first place... to prevent mixup or missing mails... geesh.

I am going through the same problem but mine is with my GC!! on the updates it said my card was delivered on Oct 4, same as you, I had been going crazy waiting for it for 8 days, u know in case it was just delayed, but nothing!!! I talked to USCIS & got the tracking number from them & took it to the USPS office they made me talk to a supervisor that by the way did not help alot just said he would give me a call, he called me today but missed the call, he left a message saying that he spoke with the mailman and that they were unable to find my letter. that they will keep looking and to give them a call on monday.. Im so frustrated because i finally get to be here legally and stupid mailman decides to freaking lose the one important document! I received everything from receipts to acceptance letter, which by the way was received like 2 days before my GC was "delivered". I just wish they do found it Hopefully you find your EAD

. Literally exactly how it happened to me. I havent received anything. I even talked to the mailman myself and he says he doesnt remember. :/. Now I'm just hoping someone returns it because it was obviously sent to the wrong location. I have a meeting with USCIS on Monday next next week. I don't have high expectations to be honest. Sorry it's happening to you too dude. What are you going to do now?

Yeah is just a disgrace!! I never thought this would happen to me what im gonna do is called the stupid supervisor tomorrow like he said and see what other BS they tell me.. honestly i already lost hope that they will find it, what makes so upset is that to open my mailbox i need a key so there is no way someone took it, he either left it somewhere else or he just didnt deliver it at all, where i live pretty much all my neighbors know me & i asked them if they had seen it but no luck, im sure he just didnt deliver it at all.. I was also checking on the USCIS website & it says that if the card was issued but not deliver they won't charge anything , but I have to wait 30 days for that, i'm going to call USCIS again to update them on my issue. The good thing is that I have my EAD card already so I have my social security # & im about to get my DL, hopefully by going to the USCIS meeting can help on your issue. Best of luck!!

Yessir. I'm so worried now with friggin Romney halting the process if hes elected. Imagine, I'm approed but I'm never able to get the permit... Eeeeek lol. Yeah I have my appointment next week so I'm hoping they can do something. I'm thinking i'll have to pay the 300$+ again -_-

Have you had any news about EAD?? To update you on my issue, I do have to pay to get a new GC sent :/ i have to take my biometrics and probably have the interview again :/ hopefully you have more luck than me, oh and USPS swears that they dropped it off at my mailbox!! but is a lie!!!!!!

Oi, that sucks :/ Im more bothered by the fact that it's going to take forever. My post office at least didnt give me BS lol, they just flat out told me they didnt know what happened. Anyway- I got my appointment first thing on monday.
