So what happens if you fail e-verify? They can't really do anything but fire you am I right? Unless you willingly (or maybe unwillingly) are using someone else's social (which may put you in a legal bind), I don't see what the big deal is. Maybe because I want to make 'getting fired' part of my bucket list; I'd personally stick around. Best case scenario is nothing happens.

PS: I guess if you care about a recommendation, that may be another issue.

I got fired earlier this years because of audits This year was incredibly hard and Ive lived damn near poverty all my life. Just count your blessings and keep looking up things will get better (ps your boss cant say shit because its supposed to be confidential, so you can sue his ass if he does)

Report you to ICE?Just for using a fake SSN? Did you place the number by chance on your DACA forms so maybe it could be placated?

Even if you did leave, what could stop him from calling ICE even after if he really is an 'anti-immigrant republican'? Well, you have to know what's best for you BUT at the very least if you do leave try getting a letter of recommendation as it may help you more easily find employment elsewhere.

reporting you to ICE doesn't do anything if you already have DACA lol.. DACA means DHS grants temporary relief for you to stay in this country..

Also it doesn't matter if he's republican or anti-immigrant. If you're useful to his business he'll keep you. If you're not useful to his business, he'll come up with any excuse possible to lay you off.. that's how life is whether you are undocumented or citizen..

Like I said, if you got nothing to lose, it doesn't hurt any more than an embarrassment (that is, asking if you can continue working with new SSN that you will get through DACA).

I have my dignity and integrity though. I would not comprise my soul & ethics for keeping this job.

2012 has been a rough year for me. They are going to use that e-Verify on us at work pretty soon, so they are going to find out my social is fake. I'm thinking of quitting this week before they find out. I do not want to deal with that when it happens, it will be very embarrassing for me, especially since my co-workers are all white and black and they are going to think I am some kind of criminal or something. I do not hang out with my co-workers because they go to bars/clubs and I do not have a state ID, so I dont want them to find out about my status because of work.

So now I am really concerned financially. I live with my parents, and I help pay half the bills because my dad is ill and unable to work and gets no benefits from anything because of his status. My mom works, so I help her pay the bills, mortgage, etc. Now without a job, I dont know how we gonna make it work financially. Im super stressing out because of this.

Also, recently, my boyfriend stopped talking to me. Turns out (found out through other friends) that he went back to his baby momma. He didnt even break up with me! That made me feel worthless I am so devastated being left ignored. He dont return any of my calls/texts/emails. Blocked me from AIM, and it hurts me a lot, worse than a breakup. Not only am I heartbroken, but really devastated on how he just chose to not even tell me he does not want to be with me no more and do me like that, i cry about it every night

My social life is at a low too. Most of my friends are married, with kids, and what not and is hard planning trying to go out with friends. I get frustrated a lot now when they cancel at the last minute or unable to go out because of children issues. I need new friends I suppose.

I am really, really hoping to get DACA approved right now....that is like the only thing that would make me so happy! If denied, oh my god, I dont know what I would do! I think I would fall into deep depression or something. Ughhh my life sucks at the moment
From your responses to other comments it seems like you are determined to quit the job so i hope you are planning accordingly and looking for a new one already.
About your ex: not even worth mentioning. Realize he's not man enough to face you and break up with you so you don't need that around, and don't be a fool and take him back after the first fight with the baby mama, change your #, block him, etc. but move on.
And just a piece of advice: you don't look smart or sexy venting your sex life/going down the hill, etc. on the internet. I'm no puritan to be shocked, i'm a 27-year-old woman with an 18-month-old son, and you seem very young and may need to hear this. You need to have some class and respect for yourself before others can respect you. Good luck with everything.
