My experience was basically as follows:

Received card on Oct 3rd, went to DMV two days later (friday).
Used the following documents:
--EAD
--SS card
--bank account statement
--and a Comcast bill

Everything went smoothly. Until they attempted to SAVE verify my EAD. Wasn't on the records yet. The functionary inquired if it was new, I replied in the affirmative. He then gave me an appointment for 12th (about 10-days, today).

Returned today at 8:50, waited 30 minutes, took the test and passed. Was given my temporary license with the knowledge that I would receive my card within 10 business days.

For good measures, I also picked up a State ID.

Altogether, the two IDs cost $30.

Hope that is any help to anyone whatsoever.
this is great info!! thanks!!! so EAD is only form of photo identification u needed? congrats on ur DL and ID! didn't think about the ID but you r right..best safe than sorry!

So we do not need to have a passport as a SECOND proof of lawful status? That means we are like people under ***TPS*** who do not need to show a foreign passport

That was my experience, yes.

EAD card, SS card, and two proof of residence (they would not accept paystubs as it did not contain address with name).

Anyway, I reckon it is only a matter of time before GA follows Arizona and other restrictionist states in banning state issued privileges and prerogatives, hence better sooner than later.

Went to the SSA this morning. I was told I should receive my card in 7-10 days and that I could go back for a print out in 2-3 days.

Same here. She said I should receive my SSC in the mail within 2 weeks. Ru gonna go get the print out? Its gonna suck waiting 30 minz just for a printout and it's not even 100% that they'll give it to you.

I tried to get my ssn printout this morning at Norcross SSA location, and the guy wouldn't give me the printout. He told me to wait 2 weeks for the card to arrive in mail. He said he can only give me printout if I don't get my card in mail in 2 weeks. So I'm just gonna wait for my card now...

I think I'll try because I want to start applying for jobs ASAP. I'm also going to try to get my DL with the print out. If the print out is signed and stamped by the SSA worker it should work but I'm sure it also depends on the individual worker accepting it or not.

CP is basically learners (instructional permit).

And yes, you should be allowed to go ahead and take the road test towards class C (permit) if you are above the age of 18.

Of course, if you prefer, you may ask to take your written (i.e. multiple choice) test for a learners first and come back later to take road test, should you need extra preparation, in which case they will issue you a CP class license.

okay good! ive been driving for like 2 years now so im good haha i just didnt wanna wasted time with a damn learners cause the only way you can drive is if someone over 21 with a class C license is in the car with you hahaha (LAME) but since im 18 i can go ahead and apply for the Class C license and have no restrictions
