Idgaf if this question is in another thread or not but did ANYONE used an expired passport to get a SSN? If so, did they accept it or rejected it? Please help me!!

I took mine and they didn't even ask to see it. All they need is your original birth certificate or a certified copy and your EAD card.

It tells you that you need a valid passport. And I think it should be valid as well. But all you need is EAD and birth certificate...you dont have your birth certificate?

A certified copy of a birth certificate has a registrar's raised, embossed, impressed or multicolored seal, registrar's signature, and the date the certificate was filed with the registrar's office.

I do have my original birth certificate in SPANISH, i have a certified translation of it..

She was American, she just asked me to verify the city that I was born in, and she checked to see that the names on my EAD and the birth certificate matched, then she printed out a letter, asked me to verify name and address and I was on my way. I should be getting it in less than 2 weeks.
