Baruch has a top rated business program. Im not saying you shouldnt go to CUNY for grad school (many of my immediate family have degrees from a cuny) but with this new opportunity to work, im just advising people to see what else is out there. Bigger schools open up bigger doors depending on what your field is.

Also, if youre going for an advanced degree (Masters, PhD etc...) it helps to go somewhere reputable. This is ofcourse debatable, im just giving my 2 cents.

Yale does for sure; I think Columbia does now. They don't take too many, though.

I feel you... I got accepted into UT Austin, Baylor, Texas Tech, Texas A&M, TCU, UCLA and USC but I wouldn't have been able to afford tuition + room & board. So I had to stay in my hometown and go to UTEP.

Go Miners! yay..

I graduated high school with a 4.2 GPA. I received letter upon letter that guaranteed me admission to many schools here in California and a few around the country. I ended up only applying for admission to Universities here in California and one in Arizona (LOL, never wasting my time with Jan Brewer's land again). I wish I could have gone to one of them, but it would have been too difficult on my parents. I denied their offers to pay for me because I know that would have only caused my family to struggle financial, and if I could get into these schools once I could definitely do it again. Right now I'm in a Jr. College looking to transfer next year.

List of the Schools I was admitted to:
UCLA , UC Berkeley
UC Davis , UC Irvine
UC Santa Cruz , San Francisco State University
Azusa Pacific University , San Jose State University
San Diego State University , UC San Diego
University of Santa Clara , Arizona State University

Didn't catch that, thanks! And I actually graduated a few years back, but by the time I had the acceptance letters, I had already chose the route of going through Jr. College first, which is where I am now.

How does that work? I've called once before and they just told me everything I already knew, like checking the website to see my status and so on. But hopefully I get approved before then! lol.

getting full tuition scholarship is one thing but how are you supposed to pay for the dormitories and expense for the next 4 years for those whose parents can't support you or support you very little..
