The Arizona Department of Transportation updated their "Statement on the Federal Immigration Program" and it looks like a definite no. http://www.azdot.gov/mvd/driver/fede...on-program.asp

They justify it by saying that since the Federal government doesn't deem DACA beneficiaries "lawfully present" for things like Pre-existing condition Insurance under the Affordable Care Act, they can do the same with state issued ID.

Oh well. California, here I come.

Hey Guys!

So I just got approved today and I live in phoenix and have a professional license. I graduated from ASU with a nursing degree and was able to get my RN license from Washington, right now I am looking into all the things you all have mentioned. You guys are right, you cannot get an RN license without legal presence, which means I can now endorse my RN license as they only require a copy of your work permit, so that should not be an issue, however I wonder if its worth me endorsing my license in Arizona if even though I am finally "legal" I will still have to continue to hide from police. I think I rather pay taxes in another state!

Mexico didn't lose that territory in a war... It was sold for a sack of potatoes and some jelly beans.
They lost Texas in the war and sold the rest

I know of a person that did, he was denied. They told him nicely apparently, that sorry we take all work permits except for yours. He has decided to sue and there is a law firm in town looking for people who have been denied to sue. I just got my SSN print out today and I am debating whether to wait for my card to go or just got tomorrow. I know I will be denied but then when they do I can put my name down and sue as well. Somebody has to do it.

I'm not sure if they are referring to DACA, or something completely different, but I personally still have some hope that AZ Dreamers will have a chance at a State ID/Drivers License and that part of the statement has me thinking that they are still reviewing and a positive final decision will come later. Especially after Maricopa Community College District deciding to grant us In-state tuition.

However, an updated list of acceptable list of documents for a state ID was released http://mvd.azdot.gov/mvd/formsandpub...rmInfoKey=1410 and it states that EAD through DACA are not acceptable.

I was wondering if going to another state would be an option though since on the same list it states that they accept licenses from other states. As long as that other states license doesn't have "DACA" written all over it, it might be an option.
About the Maricopa colleges granting in-state tuition, yesterday I drove down to Phoenix College and asked if someone with an EAD with Deferred Action would be able to pay in-state tuition, the lady answered " they have not ruled on that so until they make a decision, people in this situation will still be charged out of state tuition", is she wrong because on the news I clearly heard they would charge in-state to those with EAD with DACA.

I also heard it in the news and haven't heard about any changes since then. I know the universities were still deciding on in-state tuition but the community colleges were supposed to be a yes. I haven't tried going to a school and asking officials since I'm still waiting for approval, but I'll be sure to take a copy of the news article about in-state tuition and ill try to talk to someone who is knowledgable about the subject.

Keep us updated if you hear anything immarcj. I was looking foward to in-state tuition and ill be crushed if they take that away.

Maybe if I take the article and show them they'll come to their senses, I definitely would like to go back to college and pay in-state tuition so I'll be looking more into this.

Or you can just present the information that they themselves have supplied about DACA:
