Regarding California ID

Hi guys. Im just wondering lets say I got the print out for my Social, can I apply to get California ID? Or wait for the actual social security card to show them

The print out should suffice! All you need is your ead card and ss#! I suggest you make an appointment at your local dmv in order to speed up the process

Please let us know how long it takes for your ID to arrive after you apply for it! the rate at which things are going, I don't know if I'll have an ID for my best friend's birthday. She's willing to have it at a restaurant for me, but I want her to be able to have it wherever she wants.

It usually takes about a week n a half to physically obtain the Id card

Awesome I was wondering the same thing. Thats what I will be doing hopefully very soon. I wanna apply for the CA Id first and take the driving test same day. Meanwhile I have something to show while i wait for the actual DL card. ANd please do let us know when someone gets the ID or DL to know how long is taking. Thank you.

i was told id get id in two weeks, this was last thurs, but people say it takes 1 to 1.5 weeks. Personally i've seen it get to its destination in a week, o well my id should be getting here thurs or fri so ill update if it does. As far as DL after u pass the two tests the dmv said 2 weeks for the physical card

I'm dying to get my CA ID. That's what I am the most excited about right now. But alas.. approval is needed.

I just got my ID it took 8 days and it expires in 2017 on my Bday.... F'kin awesome if you asked me.

Hopefully my DL also expires in 5 years, this is not normal as far as every experience I've read, or maybe ID's are 5 year's and DL's are EAD expiration constrained.
