Well, in cities populated largely by ethnic "minorities" there are surprise ICE parties in random locations.
I'd rather be safe than sorry.

I've come in contact with ICE twice as a minor

Again, like I said, if you know you will be coming in contact with ICE or BP, carry it.

If you won't be, there is no need for it.

I suppose that makes sense.

Like I said, its a tradeoff of risks. I agree that you don't have to worry if its an average day. But like people said you never know. You're doing something you're not supposed to, and in return you get to keep your EAD safe.

The OP was unlucky. But I wouldn't call him out on doing what he's simply supposed to do. If you're just strolling in the park and some racist cop comes up to you and you get detained for not having a EAD, this thread will be a totally different story.

I guess I will not be getting my wallet back, I talked to the person in charge of the park, and nearby schools. I waited for it by mail, no luck....
I only have $150, and I don't even have income. the original money I used for the application was borrowed, and I was planning on paying back a soon as I start working. this mistake is going to set me back a couple of months. but I think that it should be quicker to get a replacement card than what it took to get the first one.

it seems nowadays people are looting anything they can get their hands on.

Just last week, a friend of mine who works in an airport brought some food/ crackers/boxes/beers and other boxed lunch stuff from the airplane in 2 normal-big sized blue bags.

We were just going through the bag to see what's decent, then we left the bags outside of my house and went to 7-11 to get something to drink, came back, and whattyaknow, the bags with the food were gone. How fucking low do you have to be, srsly, some people.
