I read that a few years back. I found it hard to keep reading at some points because of the bare facts. Still a great story, though.

Yay a book thread! I'm also a big reader - mostly novels/fiction. I really like dystopian YA books...and that was before it was 'cool' because of "Hunger Games" craze.

I read "Uglies" several years ago. It's a good series. I'm re-reading currently "Chaos Walking" Trilogy by Patrick Ness. I highly recommend it and I was excited to learn Lionsgate bought the movie rights for it, even though I do not think it will be easy to make it into a movie.

Hope u don't mind if I inject myself in here. I love love reading too, haven't lately because of work but I very much enjoy it. My genre is romantic historical fictions (Jane Austen and all of the above). Right now I am reading my states learner's permit book and annoying everyone that gives me a ride on respecting the maximum speed limit under ideal condition lol. I plan on reading seven shades of grey soon. And I also enjoy trivia. I have a Trivia book written by Ken Jennings from Jeopardy. I wanted to suggest a fun little trivia thread where the moderator can put up a trivia of the day and have people answer it and talk about it. Wouldn't that be fun?

Wow so many interesting titles! Does any one have goodreads account? lol I do, I'm always adding more books to read and whenever I go shopping for books I always end up bringing more and more. I have soo many I have yet to read and so little space. lol I'd like to recommend a book called What Every Body is Saying by Joe Navarro. Great book on "nonverbal behavior" by an ex fbi agent (I use to want to be one...lol)

I will, I wasn't aware that she had written a book I don't recall her talking about it on TED but I'm sure it's good! Lol really? Well I consider myself more introverted than extroverted but I'm sure we all have a little of both!

I just finished Lisa See's "Shanghai Girls" and that book almost made me cry. It's basically about undocumented US Chinese immigrants during WW2. What they went thru really hits home to what we're going thru right now....probably worse because of the generation....but it's history repeating itself. I would recommend it to every dreamer.
I have that series on my bookshelf but still haven't read it. I enjoy series books too especially HP. hehehe

Gotta love Jane Austen!

Wait isn't it fifty shades of grey the twilight fan fiction book right? lol

You should start that thread! I'd love to join in!

98% of the books I read are sci-fi or fantasy books. Started A Song of Ice and Fire series and after that I plan to read Snow Crash.

The Little, Brown Handbook (for review on grammar, essay preparation, research etc.)
The Price of Government: Getting the Results We Need in an Age of Permanent FiscalCrisis by David Osborne and Peter Hutchinson
Criminal Justice by Jay Albanese
Scholarly journals on public administration concepts/movements/ideas/issues.

A good book I recommend is Water: the Epic Struggle for Wealth, Power, and Civilization by Steven Solomon. This book is a great read because it emphasizes the socioeconomic and political importance of water.

There are a couple series books that I've read that falls along the same line, and I would highly recommend to you both. Check out the "Divergent" series by Veronica Roth....really, really, really good IMO, about the same line as Hunger Games, maybe a bit better. And also "Delirium" series by Lauren Oliver.

Right now I'm reading The Twelve by Justin Cronin. Amazing post apocalyptic book. I also love everything related to the Holocaust specially autobiographies. The next book on my list is the one by Steven Colbert the great nation we never weren't.
