So you're saying not to show your EAD? I'm kind of confused, sorry!

I don't get how you can get away without showing your EAD. Don't they require proof of legal presence? Isn't that the only thing we have that currently shows that?

I'm starting to think that depending on where you go, and who you happen to talk to when at the DMV, they may just check your legal presence with the SSA? I don't even know if that's possible. But I've never heard any of my US Citizen friends bringing any sort of proof of their legal residence. I guess maybe they bring their birth certificate like the dmv website states you should. Or maybe when they verify with the SSA if that's your number, it also shows your status? Maybe ours would say DACA? idk.

Or maybe it just all depends on who processes your application at the DMV, and whether or not they decide to input your expiration date two or four years from now. I have seen nothing anywhere say that our drivers licenses are going to be for a limited time. No article anywhere speaks of a time frame. So I think it just may all lie in the hands of the DMV employee. And maybe even those who got it for only two years could complain? After all, this DACA is supposed to be renewable, if and when Obama takes office again.

Can I use my own car for the driving test? I don't really have anybody who can lend me their car. It's insured and registered.
