Whats the worse thing that can happen if I apply 7 days after my EAD was approved? Do they really take 4 wks to give me a Social?

Some people have had problems and had to wait the 4 weeks. Others have not had any problems, some SSA centers won't accept your application until the 10 days. Best bet is to hold on for the 10 days. People who have are looking at a wait time of 4-7 days to receive their Social.

Just apply. Wait 2 weeks.

Well I applied 7 days after my EAD was issued and I'm still waiting for my number since the agent told me that she had to wait till the ten day mark. It may be nonsense in the sense that it's bullsh*t, but is it real? Definitely, I've called different social security offices every three days and my number is still pending.

Well this is different but my daughter was born on the 28 of a month and by the 7 of the next month her SScard had been issued. i dont see a difference in the way that the SS office need it to verify she had been born And us being in the system. Idk... but it didnt take the 10 days for the card to be issue.
