Hey for you guys with attorneys and have been approved, did you receive the official approval notice? My i797 says it was sent to my lawyer but he hasn't received it.

Did you put your address as the mailing address?

All of my notices came direct to my address. My lawyer may have gotten copies, but I don't know.

She's legitimate. I personally thought i could do it myself but my mother wanted to go with her just in case. In sensitive situations like this, it's better to be safe than sorry. Haven't received my approval yet but it does let you sleep a bit easier at night knowing someone accredited and familiar with you helped prepare. Besides, $1500 is nothing for a work permit and DL in my opinion if you have it or in my case, your fam has it and can help you out. Getting it was definitely a collective effort. Probably wouldn't have paid anymore than that though lol. Oh and I live in Ga.
I agree that its better to be safe than sorry, INITIALLY i honestly got overwhelmed when I seen so much paperwork to fill out, I felt like I would mess something up or not mail it out correctly. So I also went on the safe side and had to pay $1250+filling fees. NOW I feel like I could have filled on my own as I am helping my sister fill hers out as she doesnt have the money to pay for an attorney. But what is done is done! Im just glad I have this opportunity. IN TEXAS.

Yes, I put he put my address as mailing address. Both of us were getting copies of everything, I received my EAD but in the i797 it says that they mailed the official notice to the authorized representative.

"It's better safe than to be sorry" is a perfectly fine reason but when you pay a grave amount and they don't satisfy you with their services then it really becomes just a waste of money when you become more capable of doing it yourself.

1) We are 3 sisters. Not only did they not mail our applications as we were told, they sent my little sister's package 2 weeks after they sent for me and my older sister's.

2) My little sister's application package was REJECTED because they FORGOT to attach the MONEY ORDERS.

3) My little sister's application package was REJECTED AGAIN because after resending it the SECOND time they forgot to reattach the I-821D and I-765 forms.

Time is wasted. Now her wait time is going to be prolonged due to the fact that now they are inundated with so much more applications. All of this is unnecessary. In hindsight, we were capable of doing this ourselves not only in a timely manner but also $4,500 richer.

Excuse the rant.

QUOTE=Deafening Thoughts;321160]For those who applied for DACA with an Attorney, please state how much you were charged, which state you are from & your case status: Approved / Denied / TBA / RFE, etc. I feel like my sister's and I were overcharged and I'm curious to know if this is within the normal range for fees. This will be helpful not only to see what the average charges are but also for those future applicants that are considering to file with an Attorney. Any other information that is related to this topic are welcomed. Thank you!

That's crazy. Which state are you from?

Even though this person filed it himself, he found one in Phoenix that charged $4000:

Dicks.
It's only a good investment when it's actually great service.
Good luck to all of us.

hi im sorry to hear that you were over charged i only payed 200 bucks with full lawyer representation. I live in baltimore maryland but i got my lawyer from a organization called ayuda from virginia i found it on internet. Plus my lawyer is also helping me with another case i might be approved. You should have looked for a organization that helps people or have gone to a daca clinic. But well the important thing is that its worth it although you paid that much as long as you get approved.

Ps by the way i sent my daca on aug 25 delivered on aug 28th and biometrics on sep 27 and now im just waiting to get approved hopefully this week .

And cheer up dreamer if you already paid that amount think of it as the best investment you have done in your life witch will change you life for the better
