10 day wait after DACA before SSN - Page 97

Congrats. Now to start looking for work in a long line of unemployed.

Yeah lets hope it doesn't take too long. Have a couple interviews next week. All in the Real Estate Escrow field. Well see how it goes.

Went today and applied and got my receipt without any Reference numbers. Went to the SSA in Aurora and the guy at the window was pretty chill. Said it can take up to two weeks. Now I wait.

^or you can go back in 24hrs and get a print out of your number. Im having a hard time memorizing it lol

Guys lets be nice! We are all excited and we want to get our ssn ASAP... Stop calling each other names...
We get it, some people need to wait 10 days (sometimes there's a waiting period) depending on the person but let who ver wants to go before go without calling them idiots...
Look I got my card on Saturday and went on Monday and got my ssn with no problem...

I'm just saying lets try to be more nice to others ..

Anyways ima tell you cuz something stupid the guy I called at the ssn did...

So I went on Monday to apply for my ssn. Everything went good and on Wednesday I calle to see if I could go get my print out.. The guy Said he was going to check.. Then he told me that yeah that I could go to the office and ask for a printout... Then he told me to write down this number and to give it to the person at the window..
Well I thought it was like a reference number and when I got to the ss office I showed the lady the number and told her the guy on the phone told me to give them that number. She was like who's number is that? I was like o_O idk a reference number I guess.. Then she's like that's your ssn... The guy gave you the
Number through the phone and he wasn't suppose to do that.. -____-
I was like omg if I would of known I wouldn't of gone to the office anymore..

Anyways just wanted to share my story... This guy could of gotten in a lot of trouble if they would of made a big deal about him giving that type of info over the phone... But they didn't ask me who it was or nothing

Update: Today I went to the Santa Ana office to check on my status.... This time I got a nice male representative. He checked my status and told me that I was verified long time ago..... WTF.... apparently my initial instinct was correct... the female representative was just being a dick... I asked for the number printout, but he said that he cannot printout the number in this office due to security reasons... I think that was another bs, but I was so happy to hear the good news so I just figured I'd go to the Mission Viejo office... and then the lady who initially worked on my app passed by and saw me and I gave her a nasty look... I calmed down and went to the Mission Viejo office. Got printout in 10 min... the line wasn't even long because no one is there... Went to nearby DMV, took the permit test and passed. DMV line was rather long (2 hours), because I didn't set up an appointment....

Next week is my behind the wheel test!

Congrats. Idk why Santa Ana refuses to give a print out and other offices help out.

Will I be ok with just my Mexican BC and my ead at the ssa office? I don't have a passport, only my matricula and school id.
