Hello Guys,

I had my biometrics taken Oct. 17th, and received a letter 5 days later with another appointment to get my biometrics taken again. I called USCIS and they don't seem to know the reason I received a new appointment, all I was told was that they highly encouraged me to show up for that appointment, otherwise my case could be considered abandoned.

Has anyone else had the same issue?? Its kinda frustrating because now my case will take more time.

I must mention I have no criminal background whatsoever. As clean as I can be.

Well on some websites it stated that finger prints smuge when they
are being sent to FBI but now it's electronic so I don't see why..maybe
your prints weren't scanned correctly only thing I can think of.

Many people have had their EAD lost by USPS, decision reversed, REFs, or other problems. So don't be discouraged by this. Also, I would recommend doing a walk-in, so your case will not be delayed considerably.

Life is a real pain, my friend. Things never seem to go as planned, but I am thankful for this opportunity. Three months ago I had lost all hope of life, but now have something to look forward to.

OP, when you went to your first appointment, did the person have trouble getting good scans of your fingerprints? Did they have to re-do them a bunch of times? Because it sounds like the FBI did not accept the fingerprints, which is why you have to go in again.

Thank you, I know, I had lost hope too, I am thankful for this opportunity, its just a bit frustrating when things dont go they way we expect them to be. In regards to the "walk-in", I have seen people say that here, but, I dont even know what that is, do I just go to the uscis office before my appointment? I live in Oregon, and nowhere on my appointment notice it states I can just walk in? Could you explain to me what that is?

Thank you

They are not the same, the case number is the same, but it has new numbers that the first one didnt have, although the last notice has no bar code. It is weird.

They did, im not sure the person even knew what he was doing, he had to do it many times, and some fingerprints I noticed he clicked on "avoid" or "ignore" or something like that.

Walk-in as soon as possible, it's likely they made a mistake and they tell you it was all a misunderstanding, but just show up it won't hurt you.
