We need more Dems in the House. If we can get about 10 more than we have in the house the Dream Act is a done deal in 2013!

Well the way I see it Democrats are dying to get that 60 vote majority in the senate. That unfortunately won't happen. The question then is..how will DA pass then since GOP likes to filibuster everything? I'm hoping this election will knock some sense into them and make them realize the main reason why they don't have a man in the white house is because they keep obstructing. I def see them willing to compromise. I think GOP will feel this defeat heavily next week.

So what am I suppose to do if I was diagnosed with cancer? Cuz military wont take you so I just get left out ? Or u just dont want to go to college

And how is the military version not going to cause chain ?

There's lots of talk of cutting down the military to be more lean and have more spec-ops types fighters that standing tank armies. Unfortunately lots of people would be otherwise disqualified from serving in the military even if they wanted to -- I've got a bad back and I doubt that I could pass a military physical no matter what I did!

So:

a) Smaller military, less recruiting
b) Many people would not be able to join the military in any capacity

oh and..

c) Republicans being against any sort of amnesty/dream act no matter what

If republicans cared about chain immigration they could have added something to prevent it on the normal dream act

If Republicans choke this out too tight, then the Dems won't want to proceed. The balance of the DREAM Act needs to be perfect.
