SSN printouts valid at DMV? - Page 8

This is a bit off topic, but I read somewhere that you have to wait 10 days after you receive your physical EAC in the mail to go apply for a SSN. Is that true or can I just go there this Monday (three days from today) since I received it today and don't want to waste any time.

You cannot use printout in NJ.
Can we get someone to walk in to the DMV with a printout please? Rather than calling. I feel like it would be a different situation.

Not true for Texas. I applied for my SSN the same day I got my EAC in the mail. Everything went smoothly at the SSA office with the EAC and my Mexican passport. Now I'm waiting for my card. Hopefully it arrives this coming week.

Does the permit and or license say "Temporary Visitor" in texas? Anyone know from personal experience?

a paper that says something like " our records indicate that the social security number xxx-xx-xxxx belongs to John Doe." and they will put an official stamp and sign it.
