ok so
when i received the receipt for I765
i noticed that my last name was misspelled
so sent a letter to get it corrected
and even got a letter from them saying
"This information has been forwarded to your file. The officer reviewing your request for deferred action will make any appropriate changes to your filing at that time"

and then three weeks after i received the letter,
i was approved and got the approval notices
BUT my last name was NOT CORRECTED.
i haven't received the actual card yet but i highly doubt my name on the card is correct

smh..

to be honest since it says it on your approval notices the mistake will probably be on your card as well. I had a mistake on my I765 receipt called it in they say they sent me an email never got it though and when i received my approval notice for the I765 along with my card the damn mistake was still on it....

Make an INFOPASS and see if you can get this corrected. Make sure your proof shows USCIS error and not you, so they can correct it and send a new EAD at no cost to you.

It sucks when you're the "1/100000" type of scenario.
These issues usually never happen, but when they do, it's a BFD.

I did and infopass for my ead, the middle name was mispelled on the back of the card but on the front it was just the first letter which was correct nevertheless the receipt had the full middle name spelled wrong too and it bothered me, I did an infopass and at that point supposedly they corrected it in the "system", but to get a corrected ead they told me id have to re-send the application plus proof that it was not my mistake and the correct spelling plus my ead card to have a new corrected ead made and sent to me. Have not sent back ead and application because the mistake was on the back of the ead and I'm looking for a new job here pretty soon so figured I'd send it back once I get a job and dont need to show it to my new employer, dont want to risk having the ead when I'm asked for it.
