Better safe than sorry? You do know that you can't appeal a denied application even if you used a lawyer right? Even if you have a few misdemeanors, a lawyer can't do anything special to get you approved if you don't qualify. As I keep pushing, and this will be the last time I do so; for the most part, we are much more knowledgeable than lawyers when it comes to DACA. The proof? Lawyers are messing up applications left and right on this forum. |
1) This WAS new to everyone: applicants AND lawyers. How do you know "lawyers are messing up applications left and right"? From people like myself sharing this information. If, collectively all of us who applied with a lawyer knew beforehand that they were going to make grievous mistakes, do you really think that we would spend our money on something that could jeopardize our future especially since there is no appeal? Are ALL lawyers making this mistake? The answer is NO.
2) The forums were designed to share information. There were more questions than there were answers in this forum when this program was still premature and no one was still approved.
3) Of course now as an AFTERTHOUGHT, we wished we would've filed it ourselves. We could've done a better job than they ever could and saved a lot of money. This is all in retrospect.
4) Congratulations to you that you had enough "common sense" to not get a lawyer, that you are capable of reading forums. I would never wish to anyone what had happened with my little sister's case due to hiring a lawyer. I wish you good luck with your case.
