Hey guys,

I don't post often because I usually get help on my issues from older posts. Couldn't find anything on this though.

I am currently in the initial review phase of my application. Every time I check the status of my case, I see this message:

On October 4, 2012, the post office returned the notice we last sent you on this case I765 APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION as undeliverable. This may have serious effects on processing this case. Please call 1-800-375-5283 to update your mailing address for this notice to be re-sent.

The thing is, I got a letter on the 10th of October for my bios, which I took on the 23rd.

I called USCIS twice to attempt to update my address (or in my case, tell them it never changed). The first time, the lady I was speaking too could not read...and she was English speaking. She did say that the system was down anyways, so I decided to wait.

I called again today and got a better representative to answer the phone. She did(could) not give me any information on this. She could not even tell me what the "serious effects on processing" were.

Neither time was I asked about what my address was or if it had changed, which I found strange and frustrating. I was wondering if anyone else got this message this early in the process. Any insight will be useful to me. I just don't want this to affect the sending of my EAD card if I am to be approved.

Thanks

You can change your address online! Maybe you can try that.

Then, call again to make sure they received your request for change of address. I suggest to keep calling until you get a straight answer. Hopefully you will stumble upon a representative that is willing to help you out more.

I think the way to go about it is to first call the post office and ask why they think your mails are "undelievable" and fix the issue (whatever it may be) and then call uscis to resend your WAC. Good luck.

I checked my brothers status too. And it had the same thing. and that was the surprising thing since he did his bios and is still waiting 9/28 bios from LIN
