how to get driver's license at NYC

getting driver's license in NYC is tricky compared to other states. I think there is a six point system that is used to issue the license.

if i am approved, can i use Employment Authorization (I766 or I688B) for 3 points, US Social Security card for 2 points and 1 point for a credit card?

I do have high school and college ID but it has my american name on it, so i dont think i can use them.

I believe they only require 4 points since you are eligible for a social security card.

it was so easy for me. i applied only for State ID. i basically showed EAD, SSS card, and my debt card. That's it folks

I got my permit Monday. i showed EAD, SS card and bank statement. Applied at the Jamaica, Queens office

Hey where did you apply for the ssn? I live in queens and I just got my card today and wondering where to go to get my ssn and you went The day after you received the card?

NY is not that hard actually..I'm bringing my EAD, SS, and credit card on Tuesday to DMV in Brooklyn for my permit and ID. I wish monday wasn't a holiday dammit!!
