Even better, that means they'll check it while you have a big smile on your face haha.

Hi OpuLance, according to the social security website-- http://ssa.gov/ssnumber/ to the right of that page under 'More Information' specifically 'Non- U.S. Citizens Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals.' If you have an EAD card but do not have a passport or birth certificate, there are OTHER forms of ID that you can use in proving your identity and applying for a social security number, as long as you have a valid EAD card.

You can take your EAD card and (1) a copy of your medical record, OR (2) a school identification card, OR (3) your school record showing age and date of birth, OR (4) a U.S. state-issued ID card, OR (5) a U.S. Driver's license, OR (6) a religious record showing date of birth, OR (7) a U.S. military ID card, OR ( your U.S. military record, OR (9) your foreign passport OR (10) your foreign birth certificate.

You can print out that PDF "Non- U.S. Citizens Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals" document and take it with you to the social security office to support the documents that you're presenting to them. All the best!

No dont wait. I dont care what the documents they found say. I had my ssn on the 8th day after my approval. And many others had a similar experience.

The only wait ssa says anything about is after you apply to verify your docs with dhs. 7-10 days. They do say it could take longer if they have to send physical copies but in most cases its done online.

^^^This. I applied for a SSN on the same day that I received my EAD card, and I received my SSN 7 days later.

I would never EVER input my fresh SSN into a shady looking website like that, even if it was legit. Ever.

Why would you need to input it? If you got it from SSA, it's valid.
