They said because the EAD confers an immigration status the person loses AB540 eligibility which is untrue. DACA neither grants nonimmigrant status because there is no VISA involve and no legal status is issued. I guess you have to print some regulations and show them their error. But it appears otherwise this person should be eligible for financial aid.
