I just got another text on 11/13 saying that USPS had picked up the package with EAD card. Hopefully I get by Friday. I will call to get tracking number. I hope everyone gets the approved soon!

I also received 4 more text msg.s after my EAD approval yesterday Nov 13.. So 5 in total
1. EAD was approved @ 5:15pm
2. Daca approved @ 9:00pm
3. Idont know about this one but i guess is the one saying usps has picked

Now just wait to get it.. Maybe thursday or friday.

It's a little discouraging to see people getting approved in 30-45 days (although I am happy for everyone). Today marks my 80th day since applying and about 40th day after biometrics and I'm still at initial review, but thanks to this forum I realized I could call for an interim EAD, which they confirmed yesterday and said that I should have one within 15 days, does anyone have any experience with this?

You can't get one until your DACA is approved. Go to the 90 day myth page. The only thing you can request after 75 days and I am not sure how if it even applies to daca is a request for them to tell you where they are at with your application.

Go to pg 1 of Instructions for I-765 and read on the second column titled INTERIM EAD= "An EAD issued to an eligible applicant when USCIS has failed to adjudicate an application within 90 days of a properly filed EAD applications, or within 30 days of a properly filed initial EAD application based on an asylum application filed on or after January 4, 1995. The interim EAD will be granted for a period not to exceed 240 days and is subject to the condition noted on the document.The interim EAD provisions apply to individuals filing Form I-765 based on Consideration of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals only after a determination on deferred action is reached.

30 Days=For asylum applications only
" or within 30 days of a properly field initial EAD application based on an asylum application filed on or after January 4, 1995.
90 days= For all other non asylum applications

90 Days for DACA applicants=Only after Deferred action has been granted.

So, if your DACA is granted and you haven't received an EAD within 90days you get an interim EAD that will be valid for 240 days. BUT DACA HAS TO BE GRANTED FIRST.

The problem is many people are confusing it with this a 75 day service request to see the status of your application. The problem is sometimes people listen to what they want to hear and what they think will benefit the most. The second problem being the lack of training USCIS service people have. Thank you all for the quick replies. The problem is I haven't been involved with my case until the biometrics last month, which is where I then memorized my EAD receipt #. Before this, we've had attorneys taking care of our DACAs months prior. I don't have access to info on it atm, I would like to assume that it's approved by now or very close.

Although regarding my first post, the rep I talked to already gave me a confirmation number for my interim EAD.. and she said that they should contact/update me within 15 days regarding it. All I had to confirm was that I have in fact applied more than 75 days ago.

44 days after biometrics. Quickly approaching the highest number of days between biometrics and approval as per Nebraska Spreadsheet thread. Seriously hope something happens this week.
