 They offer "constituent services". Its a way to make ppl feel connected with their representative, which eventually translates into votes. Check out the website of the representative for your district or a state senator and look for "constituent service" or "help with a federal agency". Immigration/INS/USCIS should be listed there. I just found out by a friend that you can also appeal to the DHS Ombudsman if your I-765 app is still pending after 90 days. You fill out a form and the Ombudsman will find out why your application hasn't been reviewed within the 90 day timeframe and will request USCIS to expedite your case. (INS Ombudsman). I'm gonna wait to see if the service request I sent this morning will have any effect, if not I'm gonna request an interim EAD and ask for help from one of the above. |
I'm bookmarking all your links and taking screenshots of your posts. This is all very valuable information! My app was received Oct 4th so Im no where near 90 days yet, but better to be prepared and not need it, than need it and not have it lol. Are you from cali by any chance?

I lived in cali for a long ass time!!! Then ohio, now connecticut!
I'm gonna go with the Ombudsman option if it gets to that. just found out more about it. Seems to work in getting USCIS to move their butt:
