It looks normal since you were approved on the 4th. Check the site and let me know. For us it has been more than 3 weeks without anything.
I have been approved for both, but havent received the approval notice for ead yet.

I called again today and the lady said that its 90 days after your DACA is approved for the i765. I'm getting so confused because the lady last week told me they had to tell me by nov 22. Seems very unorganized.

What she said is right or at least that's what it says on the USCIS website... The reason we get different responses is because some of the service people are not well informed about this process! I was told the samething but the last time I called the person who I talked to file a service request for me anyways; i just have to wait to see if it works out they said I'll get an answer in 15 days.

If you don't hear back in about 44 days, definitely give them a call. I think you'll be approved soon though!

So I went for an info pass this morning. This is my case.

Oct 4th Did biometrics.
Daca approved Oct. 15th *on website*
Daca approval letter received Oct 17th
EAD till now Nov 16th *initial review on website*
11/16 Info pass office told me I have been approved for EAD on OCT 15th. Card has not gone into production but I should expect to receive something within 15 days.

For those who want to know the status of EAD I recommend and Info pass if you want to know the status of your case.

Thanks and good luck to everyone.

Thanks this is really useful... I have my infopass appointment this Monday! So they didn't give you a lecture about 90/75 days... had to be approved for DACA first thing?!!!

OK, ok.

I know that you could be in initial review of you DACA app. can be months. If approved you can expect up to 3 months of time wait for the work authorization to be approved. Now, it can take up to 4-6 months for you to be in initial review, ie waiting for be first approved.

My question is when does the countdown of the 4-6 months start? Is it when they receive you app., or does it start the day you do your bios?

If someone knows, has talked to a lawyer, or gotten somehow thru to USCIS hotline and asked someone there. Can you please tell me when does this start. The Cali. Service received my app. on 8/23/2012 did bios on 9/18/2012
(on the USCIS website once I enter my WAC it says: "On August 23, 2012, we received this I765 APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION, blah blah blah...") it does not say anything about the deferred action app. which is kind of weird, but will check into this.

PLEASE HELP!

The 4-6 month starts when your applications were accepted not from bios and if for some reason you happen to be approved for DACA only the 75/90 day service request and EAD interim applies to us; meaning that if 75 days have passed since USCIS accepted DACA, we can call and ask for a service request and if 90 days have passed from DACA approval we qualify for a interim EAD.

Thank you.

So I can expect starting from 8/23 (the day they received my app.) to wait 4 to 6 months.
Meaning, the longest I will have to wait to be just to be DACA approved is 8/23/2012 to 3/23/2013 if six months or 8/23/2012 to 12/23/2012 if 4 months.

The 4-6 month thing is very generalized.
So if by 12/23/2012 I am not approved I may have to wait until 3/23/2013.
Or if not approved by 12/23/2012 I could still be approved anytime between that two month difference. Is this sound reasoning. Please post if you would disagree or would agree with my timeline.
