So I have been getting payed under the table since I was 18, I am now 23. I have no work experience other than being a Nanny, I never had a fake social to use. I just received my social in the mail today. I am now applying for jobs with no resume so this kinda sucks that I have no experience what so ever to put down on applications. I am applying at Target, something small to start off with. Anyone in this position, applying for jobs with no work experience or resume? =/

Same here, I have a bachelors in accounting and internships start in mid spring. Right now I'm shooting for small temporary jobs that pay around 13-15hr. Have been in two interviews from hiring personnel, and have been told about offers where I was recommended. I'm just waiting for a call.

I don't know if you ever attempted to make a resume or not, but if you haven't, do yourself a favor and look up a skills-only or entry level resume. Furthermore, I don't think you should think yourself as having no experience. You do. You have years and years of child care experience. Plus, I see that you have computer experience and maybe you're even bilingual. Now, I'm sure that maybe you had another field in mind, but you gotta start somewhere and a job in retail is just fine, but always keep a lookout for good opportunities.

Plus, I mean, I'm sure one of the parents you worked for can at least give you a character/reference letter, which in my experience, is invaluable when looking for a new job. Don't worry, you're not starting from zero. You just have to keep your eye on the path of where you want to go.

I have been a nanny myself but I was also a cna student in hs and we did internships at a hospital and nursing home. I'm having a hard time. Macy's didn't hire me which is crazy to me. But I just had a second interview with this storage company, waiting for another call and I also have an interview for a secretary position on Tuesday. It's hard but just keep applying, you never know. Don't put all ur eggs in one basket, try and keep trying.

Guys, come on. Be creative. If you have had a job (any type of job), I am sure you can highlight some of the skills you gained and/or exhibited.

If you have not worked at all, then mention some of the skills you gained and/or exhibited through classroom projects (especially group projects and presentations) and extracurricular activities. Make sure you emphasize responsibility, problem-solving skills, ability to work well with others, ball-busting drive, communication skills, willingness to lead, etc.

Everything will be fine my friends. We have been through so much. All of this shit here is fucking nothing. Get assumed constratints out of your fucking heads and conquer the fucking world. All of you can do it. I believe in you and am proud to communicate with such a brave bunch of human beings.

If you've taken any certification programs CPR, for example, that would definitely help your application look more appealing to say the least. As far as honesty, the best policy goes much the same here. Give specific-scenarios in your resume about how it was working as a nanny, and when you ever came to face unexpected problems and how you took about resolving them.
