By the way there is no need to wait in line, all you do is go straight to the PHOTO BOOTH thing and sign up. Also, you need to complete a form or complete it at home (download it).
You kinda lost me with the car insurance part. Why do you need to take car insurance stuff with you for driving test? Do you mean if you're using your own vehicle? I'm completely oblivious with the whole drivers license obtaining process.

Yes you need to bring your own car. Make sure the insurance is up to date.

My id expires on April 2019. That is six birthday years from without counting the first one. I think driver license will be the same. CT does not offer any 5 year driver license. I think that's a different state.

You have to surrender your ID when you go get a DL right? Does your ID also say "Not for Federal ID purposes" ? Did you just show up one day with your ID application and they gave it to you right on that day?

Yes.
That is kinda lame,I wonder what made the State follow Real ID so strictly?

*my I.D is marked "Not for federal identification"
* it expires on 2019.
*They did not even ask for my deferred action letter

Things I took: (Wel i took more but this is all they used)

*EAD
*Passport
*Social Security Card
*Bank Bill
*Doctor Bill

(I will definitely recommend taking more stuff just in case)

Guys, what do you think will happen if i were to tell them that I lost my I.D to avoid surrendering it when getting a driver's license?
