Nice! According to this!.. Our employers cannot fire us!!! Just update our info!! I'm going to print this out and give it to my boss and then tell him to update my info that way I don't have to explain anything!

hey guys! Im glad i found his thread! Cause im also in the same boat, i work at a retail store and ive been at my company for 5 years, in the past they have offered me to be an assistant manager soooo many times!! But i always said no cause they run a background check if you accept. So im really scared to tell my boss about it, i love working there , just wanted to vent cause u guys understand :/ :/ :/ :/

Today i did one of the most stupidest things i have done by far....you know i figured that if i had my SSN that deferred action allowed me to have, it would be ridiculous to continue working with a fake number, a number that was basically made up, i dont even know whose social number i use at work....point is today i went to talk to the Businees Office Director of the facility in which im employed and told her i needed to change my SSN, she gave a look of WTF??! and asked why....i obviously didnt want to tell her "the SSN on file, the one i work with, hmm yeah it a fake!" so i said i got a new one, she got crazy and told me that i cant have gotten a brand new number, to take the SSN card to her tomorrow....im scared because i know i can get fired, & even tho i have only worked there for about 7 months, ive meet lots of nice people, i like my job, (its not the best nor the worst!!) and im sacred to see how she will react tomorrow morning when i tell her the truth....the worst that can happen is get fired right? or can they report me to immigration services? .... im also scared for my co-workers cause i know some of them dont have the legitimate right to work either....

hey the best excuse to say is that is Immigration contacted you a while ago and that they requested that you need a new SSN and say your not sure why or lie that your name with your current SSN matches with another name and you gets a bunch of shit from theirs and it's messing with your life. Even if they check it and its a real ssn and another name pops out and say SEE WHAT I MEAN boss this happens a lot to me
