I mean I know I sent good evidence because I am a paper hoarder. I have no criminal record and I am a college graduate in grad school. Like my bro says "you don't even jaywalk." But, at the same time I have had a previous EAD they might want to check. I have a rare name and not widely used spanish last name. I am not a gonzales, hernandez, gomez, or a Maria. But, I googled my name and some chick from texas was arrested and she has my name. I am prepared to wait 6 months.

In the meantime I like to help others with their applications, I can almost run a mile non-stop, I want to run tough mudder next year, reading the DMV book, and working on my theses. Give yourself other goals.

People who post in these forums or worried about their application therefore have nothing else going on in their lives? That's a very crass assumption. Fairly certain a lot of people have other stuff going on. Some just want an answer so they can know what their next step is.

That's tricky. I spoke to my lawyer about it a few months back, and she said its a risk not worth taking. If you have triggered the 3 or 10 year bar (most of us have, unless you are under 18 ), they could deny your entry even if you have AP. There was a case brought to court (Arrabally and Yerrabelly) that was supposed to set a new precedence, but she said there still have been denials, since its at their discretion letting you back in.

So, I don't plan on taking the risk anytime soon.

That is not what I said. I said focus your energy on stuff that you can do without DACA. We knew from the beginning that it was going to take 4-6 months. It is how fast your information clears. Why focus on the damn approval. If you have nothing to hide and nothing to worry about why are you freaking out? I have been waiting 22 years. What is 4-6 months?

Remember that our fees paid for this stuff. We cost them more then they are estimating it will equal higher fees for future applicants or probably DREAM Act. It is not logical for an officer that is looking at applications to take the time to reply for e-mails. It will not be an efficient system. This is highly specialized there are people answering phone calls, people answering e-mails, and people looking at applications. It is not a paper system. It is an electronic file system. If you look into information systems and management it makes sense.

Does doing a service request really give you peace of mind for 2 weeks? I don't think so. It makes your more excited and it gives you a false sense of hope. It is like people on drugs. They are freaking out they take a hit it calms their head down. Their high goes down and they start freaking out again.

Just take a chill pill calm down. Do whatever is you were doing before DACA and life goes on. Your time will come. You are stuck in background check.

There are about 4 threads on this. But, the opinion of myself and others is not worth the risk because of the 10 year ban, and because they make the decision to let you in or not at point of entry.

However, we really don't know how other cases apply to us until someone tests the water, and we won't know how they would treat DACA applicants with AP or even if they would give AP to DACA applicants.

Humanitarian purposes-usually has to equal a family emergency of some sort (natural disaster, someone dying, someone gravely ill)
Educational--most likely study abroad but not sure how they would treat DACA.
Business---I am not sure if a business requiring international travel would hire DACA applicant with only 2 year work permit but possible. So, until we tried we won't know.

I got my EAD card today! I'm so happpyyy!!! haha.

I called the USCIS customer service a couple of minutes ago to ask for my tracking number. When they gave me it, I checked online to see where my card is. My friends told me it was gonna arrive on monday. But when I checked the tracking number, it said it was "Out for Delivery". I literally ran outside to check the mail, and there it is. Sitting right there is my EAD card. It was awesome.

For the people still waiting, be patient. The time during the wait is well worth it the moment you get your card. I couldn't be happier right now.
