So I went to apply for a car loan the other day, I actually wanted to lease the car but they said my social was not an actual social, it was an ITIN. I did not understand what they meant by that. So they are saying pretty much I have to buy the car and they are trying to get me financed. Are they jerking me around? Anyone else ran into this problem?

Btw, social is from deferred action.

Anyone else have any ideas on how to get a car as in lease or finance?

social is from deferred action? What you mean with that? Social security is a social security, whether its from deferred action or not. Did you go to your social security administration and apply for an original social security number?

My sister just bought a car with her new ssn. She said she was having problems due to credit but no other problems.

Yeah don't go there. In fact you might be able to report then for passing false information. Your SSN is as valid as any other ones.

This reminds me, I need a car. Thanks for the update. What do I need to bring in order to have a car leased under my name? This is my first time I haven't got a job yet, but most of it is because of lack of transportation. I need reliable transportation in the first place to secure a job. Sorry, just venting, but yet if you could point me how and what it is I need to do, to have a car leased under my name?
