My FL license was expired for two and half years and I was good to go after retaking just the vision test. YMMV, of course.

I renewed at the Pembroke Road location in Broward County.

Well I guess it does depend on which DMV you go to. I live in Hardee Co. and they told my cousin he could get his license with just the receipt letter from USCIS. Now, my cousin has an expired learner's permit so they told him he just had to take the driving test. He does not have to wait to get approved for deferred action nor get a ssn. I had to wait til I was approved and had a social because I never had a license before. So im guessing for those of you who have had a license in the past here in FL maybe you can renew it without waiting for your EAD. It doesn't hurt to go and ask.

mine has been expired for over 3 years and i was wondering the same. i know someone on here had one expired for like 2 years and they didn't have to retake the tests.
are you going to attempt to renew with just your receipts like the person after you said?
Hey! My application was received on sep 17, did my bio oct 4th and no I havent been approved yet, still waiting. I am in the orlando area, I am not sure if I should try to get it renewed I just dont want them to take away my expired licence. If I was to try to renew it without an ead, what would I bring? My receipt notice, my passport and what else?

we have very similar timelines, but I did my bio later. i'm in SFL.
I've heard a few people say that they got their DL renewed with just the receipts, but no where on the DL website does it say anything about that..I asked my lawyer what she thought and she said I needed to wait until I got my EAD. I don't think my dad will take me to attempt to renew it and don't think I have the balls either lol....if you go, please keep me updated. bring your SS# and i think you need to bring 2 proofs of residency? it says on the FL DL website.

I renewed in Miami-Dade once and I live in Broward. I don't even think they asked me why.

I think you can. I never went to a dmv in my county bcuz I heard that they are super rude there and its just basically a nightmare. I went to another one where I heard they were more immigrant friendly.
I don't know how it works if you don't have a social.
