I just have to say that finding this forum has sort of made me feel a little bit better about all this situation. I always knew that there were many people in the same situation as me, but I always felt alone in this at times. I am glad to see that A lot of people have been approved, some still waiting, and some have a applied. This gives me hope.

I went to get my biometrics done October 18th and I have been patiently waiting for a response, but I have run into a problem. I am a student and have worked retail for 8 years or so... I lost my last retail job this year for personal reasons, and I just started working for a great company. The problem is that I have used fake documents and they use e-verify. I have been working for this company for a month and I just received a call from corporate to tell me that there was an issue with my SSN. So they are now trying to look into it further... So they haven't let me go just yet, but I know that it is coming...
I am really stressed out because I am suppose to graduate this fall... I might be losing this amazing job, and I am completely freaking out.

I really don't know what to do in this situation... and I am hoping that I can get my permit in the mail soon... Than have them change my documents in the system... If they can give me time to get all this situated.
I am just going crazy waiting for an answer...

I found this site yesterday and it made me feel a lot better when I see the dates of when people have actually applied and gotten their permits. I just hope that mine comes around soon.... I would love to keep this job. I am just very down, and maybe I shouldn't be, but I hope things turn out good.

I am just really happy to see people are actually taking advantage of this situation and that this country is giving us a chance to change our lives.

So finally my applicaton status changed from Card/documents production to Post decision activity!! That was 21 days after biometrics!! I was starting to worry!
Definitly the California service center processes the apps at a good time rate. For those of u that sent it to Vermont or Alaska expect ur wait time to be longer. It sucks i know.. but on the bright side the wait is worth it, we r getting a life changer!!! . I sent my app on Oct 17 they received it on the 19th..did my biometric walk-in on Nov. 9th...so hopefully withing the next week or two i will have my permit on hand ....good luck to everyone!! Especially to all those that strive for something better through education no matter our situation!!!!

...i did my biometrics as a walk in 11/09/12 the appt was for 11/21...
My service center is California...like i have mentiined bfore Vermont and Alaska take longer to approve...and to those that say there are no application Denials..guess again...there has been many...check out the thread that says daca recent appovals or something along those lines and at the top after the intro..they have a link for the denied apps.
Anyways good luck to every one.n for those that sent their apps around the time i did..we might be getting approved withing the next two weeks

Check the official numbers. Of the 308, 935 applications received as of Nov 15 2012. -----298,834 were approved . 96.7% (aprox) approval rate. Pretty good considering our situation.

The applications received nationwide are not even close to the expected number. It was thought that close to 2 million people would benefit, yet only 300, 000+ have applied so far.
California has the largest illegal population of the country, so more immigration employees were drafted for a expected massive DACA application wave in Cali. But only 80,000 people applied in the state, so they have a "surplus" of Inmigration employees processing the apps, i know a guy that was approved in 38 days, including the initial application, bio and approval. A mix of luck and bureaucracy doing its work.

So if I call and ask them about it will they file a case and look into it? Or should I not bother calling them and just keep waiting since they can't give a direct answer?

I know I sound ridiculous but I wonder if it would help my case if I call and let them know that I'm still waiting, like how you remind the bursar's office in college for aids haha... Honestly I'm kinda relieved that there are some people with the same dates as me that are still waiting. I hope we all can get approved soon.

Wow u got appoved very fast! U are very lucky. I sent my application before you and I'm still waiting and I also live on California! Don't know what's taking so long :/ i dont have a criminal record or anything

Some people are saying that WAC is processing applications faster than the others. But this doesn't apply to my case.........

The Lockbox the application was sent to - Arizona then directed to WAC

Date of I-797 C Notice of Action (Application Approved) - 9/26
Date Biometrics scheduled - 10/26 (No walk-in)
Date of EAD received - TBD

When I first learned that some ppl's applications got approved within a month or so, I thought my case will be like theirs since I don't have any criminal record. I've been in school and got a bachelor's degree. Did not use any fake docs or get stopped by the police. Any one similar to my situation is still waiting? I really hope my application will be approved soon. Praying every night.
