Achieve Act....

What is happening is that the republicans are presenting their side of the table. The next thing that will happen is that the democrats counter it and come up with their own version that will surely bring about opposition from the republicans. Each party will each draft their own version of reform that is either far left/right. With both ideas on the table, both parties will meet in the middle and draft something that is close to the ideal goal.

I think that is what they are doing at this point. No single party can draft something important like immigration law without the input of the opposing political party, therefore, both parties can say that they both came up with a compromise to bring a solution to a problem instead of one party taking all the glory.

All this talk about Achieve act is actually good. Something that will bring democrats to draft their own.

very much so agree. I just hope and pray that this comprising process won't take as long as it usually does T____T

I don't think that's the case, it was never mentioned that it's only meant for visa holders, and if it was I would disagree with it even more.
